ElfYourself Alternative: Your Real Face

How ElfYourself works

ElfYourself is a mobile app (published by Magic Mirror LLC on the App Store). You add up to five faces, pick a dance and the app places each face on an animated elf. A few dances are free, one free dance changes daily, and the rest are sold one by one or through a yearly Season Pass (App Store listing, checked October 2026).

It is quick, it fits a whole family into one card and the cut-out look is part of the tradition. What it does not do is animate your body: every dancer is the same cartoon elf with a different face.

What Christmas Dance AI does instead

The model animates the whole person from one photo. In Elf Dance you get a full elf costume, ears and curly shoes, and you perform the routine yourself in Santa’s workshop; your face, hair and build stay recognisable. Christmas Party keeps your own outfit and puts you in a decorated living room.

Each video stars one adult. You download a vertical MP4 without a watermark, ready for TikTok, Reels or the family chat. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install.

Cost

Christmas Dance AI uses credits: one second of video costs one credit, and the smallest pack is $4.99 for 6 credits. Failed renders are refunded automatically, and pack credits never expire. There is no free tier, because every render runs on paid AI models.

Which one to choose

Want a free, silly card with five faces on cartoon elves? ElfYourself is the classic. Want a clip where it is clearly you, moving like you, in a proper elf outfit? That is what we built. Many families do both: a group card for the laugh and a realistic clip of the most unlikely dancer.
